
Dr. Saman Hasan is a Board Certified Psychiatrist practicing psychiatry from over 12 years. Dr. Hasan completed her residency in psychiatry from East Carolina University (ECU) . After her graduation
she began her professional career as an Attending Psychiatrist in the Central Regional Hospital (CRH), NC.
Dr. Hasan founded Max Psychiatry in 2012 in Apex/Cary/Morrisville area. Her pleasant demeanor, honesty, integrity and deep knowledge of the field of psychiatry are some of the traits that sets Dr. Hasan apart.
Dr. Hasan has been happily married for over twenty years. When she is not working, Dr. Hasan likes to read books and spend time with her family
Ms. Robin Cassidy is a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner practicing nursing for over 28 years. She first began her psychiatric care of patients while serving over 24 years in the military. During her military nursing career, she earned her subspecialty in psychiatric medicine. Drawing on her empathetic and compassionate nature, she works to ensure that each person feels cared for and listened to as she develops a psychiatric care treatment plan. Having served her country in many varied clinical settings, she feels provides a worldly foundation of experiences that she is able utilize in caring for her patients.
She earned a dual master’s degree in Adult Nurse Practitioner as well as Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist from UNC Charlotte in 2002. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing society. She is married and has 3 wonderful sons. Ms. Cassidy enjoys traveling to exotic places, reading, yoga, and daily exercise.

Ms. Colleen Morrison, a Physician Assistant with 22 years of experience, graduated from Penn State and obtained her Masters and Physician Assistant certification from Lock Haven University. Throughout her career, she has worked in internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, and urgent care.
As a primary care practitioner, she discovered her passion for managing psychiatric conditions and building long-term patient relationships. Colleen’s firsthand experiences helping her own family navigate ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, and LGBTQ+ issues have deepened her compassion and fueled her desire to support others in managing their mental health. In her free time, she enjoys exercise, theatre, and music.

Ms. Virginia C. Tysinger is an Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with Board Certification by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She received her Masters in Nursing from the University of Maryland. Virginia’s practice of psychotherapy is strongly influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Theory. She engages in a collaborative therapeutic process with clients that encourages and promotes healthy solutions. Her philosophy of therapy is based on compassion, caring, and respect.
Virginia is a native to North Carolina. Among her favorite activities is spending time with family and friends, reading, and walking.

Ms. Melissa was born in Ohio but considers North Carolina home as she has spent the majority of her life here. She received her BA in Psychology from SNHU and has been in the Healthcare industry since 2011. She enjoys helping members of the community and has found her passion helping those in the mental health community. When she is not working she loves traveling, spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Ms. Shilpa Bhandarkar supports the day-to-day operations of the practice, helping create a smooth and welcoming experience for patients. She holds degrees in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Counseling and Psychotherapy, bringing both clinical understanding and organizational support to her role.
She is committed to mental health advocacy and values being part of a collaborative care team. Her focus is on making each patient interaction as seamless and positive as possible.
